Matt Kuvakos

Matt is twenty-six years old and grew up in Chicago, Illinois the greatest city in the world. He now lives in the hottest place in the world Phoenix, Arizona with his beautiful wife, Julie. His first book, Addison's Mark was recently named the 2016 silver medalist (Young Adult Fiction) for the Illumination Book Awards. Besides writing, he loves his friends/family, awesome books, discovering unknown music, hiking, and cheering for the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs. Another important part of his life is his relationship with Jesus. As a teenager, he never really knew who God was and eventually stopped caring about Him and himself. He searched for stability, and his identity by consuming himself in all the wrong things. Yet, God never stopped loving him through those dark stages in his life. He was a severely depressed twenty-one year old when he finally realized that in the deep darkness there is always a flicker of light waiting to be seen. Matt's flicker of light was through writing, and because of that he started his crawl back to God.
