Kira Breed-Wrisley is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, professional screenwriter, playwright, and ghostwriter, recognized for her contributions to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Breed-Wrisley has secured contracts with major publishers like HarperCollins and Scholastic.

Kira Breed-Wrisley holds a degree in history from Cornell University. In her early writing, Breed-Wrisley focused on social justice and education issues.

Breed-Wrisley has written seven plays for The Media Unit in Central New York. Her plays have been staged in New York and New England. She has collaborated with organizations such as The Media Unit and Vera House Women’s Shelter.

Breed-Wrisley's writing has earned accolades from SALT, Vera House, Ivy Film Festival, and the CHC/Syracuse International Film Festival. Her ghostwriting spans memoirs and various fiction genres, including YA and thriller/horror.

In collaboration with Scott Cawthon, she co-authored the original Five Nights at Freddy's novel trilogy. She has also developed books with Kevin Anderson & Associates.
