The Night Before I Knew Him

“Don't regret this,” he murmurs on my mouth. “You have no idea who I am.”
“That's the point,” I whisper, shutting my eyes, as I wait for a kiss, but he didn't kiss me.
Instead, he pushes me backward until I hit the wall. The impact is soft, but my breath catches anyway. His hands goes to my waist, firm and possessive, tugging me close until our hips are flush.
*******
In a game of truth or dare, June Alexander accepts the challenge and spends a wild one-night stand with a handsome stranger.
Two days later, she walked into her dream internship only to find him sitting behind the CEO’s desk.
Now she's his temporary secretary, trapped in forced proximity in the sleek, high-stakes office. He acts cold, pretending their night never happened. But the tension is electric. Every glance burns, every touch lingers.
He pushes her away by day, yet pulls her close in the dark. While navigating his impossible demands and a world of corporate secrets, she finds their forbidden attraction growing dangerously real—and it could cost her everything
What happens when your hottest one-night stand becomes your coldest boss?

It was long, but I really liked it!

There are quite a few errors, though. For instance, at one point they say they’re going to get married on a certain day. Then she goes to meet his dad, he comes over for dinner, and they’re in Greece. Later, on the wedding day, they’re out in the fields with their friends, and the text makes it sound as though they’re getting married on the same day they originally said they would.

It sounds a bit strange and confusing. I think the timeline could be clearer.

pause, my forehead resting against hers, breathing her in. My hand lingers on her thigh, my thumb brushing slowly. My voice drops, low and almost rough:
"Did I ever tell you… what I did to Chris?"
