Justin McGuirk is the design critic of The Guardian and publishing director of the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design. The former editor of Icon, the international architecture and design magazine, he is an award-winning journalist and editor, and an occasional commentator on architecture and design issues for the broadcast media. He is currently working on a book about activist architecture in Latin America.
