Big Little Lies

I love this book!
Is pretty well written, the plot is really interesting and the characters are pretty well defined. Is definitely about domestic violence and sexual assault but it also has a dramatic and funny scenario.
I like that it was a women perspective, and a mothers perspective.
I think is important to take away the funny parts and be objective with the real intention on the book, that it should be talk about the violence that a lot of woman suffer.
So, the book is about 3 women (mainly) and how their life is affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, school bulling, marriage and at the end how much of their suffering they were willing to keep as a secret in order to maintain a status in their society circle.
I got related to the 3 main characters so it is hard for me to pick up a favorite. I have the neurosis of Madelline, I'm a young mother like Jane and I had struggle with a difficult marriage (not violent but still hard to explain) just like Celeste. So I felt that I could understand everyones point of view...

Anyhow, for me is a 5 stars books, you may find its flaws which is fine but I really enjoyed this one!!!

Мне сложно сказать что-то о сюжете, так как изначально я смотрела сериал, поэтому все «неожиданные повороты» были мне известны

Отличная книга для практики английского и просто хорошего вечера

Один из самых модных сериалов с прекрасной Николь Кидман и другими звездами, волшебными саундтреками и пейзажами я решила не смотреть, а попрактиковать английский и почитать книгу. Книга в стиле "Отчаянных домохозяек" - о прекрасных семьях, у которых все замечательно на публике и уже в фейсбуке, а на самом деле скелет на скелете в шкафу. Не могу сказать, что книга меня как-то особенно впечатлила. Легкий английский, можно почитать в отпуске, но иногда бывает откровенно затянуто. Интересная идея подачи интриги - обычно в детективах до конца не знаешь - кто убийца, а здесь - до последней страницы неизвестно - кто труп, хотя с самого начала понятно, что все крутится вокруг убийства. Книжка на твердую четверочку
