“Lettice by Mrs. Molesworth” is a book for children written by an English writer of children's stories Mary Louisa Molesworth. In her lifetime, the authoress was called “the Jane Austen of the nursery” since her books typified late Victorian writing for girls. Her “Lettice” is a charming story aimed at girls too old for fairies and princesses but too young for Austen and the Brontës.
