'The Pearl of Lima' is a novel by Jules Verne; best remembered for his adventure works such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and Around the World in Eighty Days. However, in this particular work of his, the main theme isn't that of venturing into the unknown parts of the physical world; rather, it is a tale of star-crossed lovers whose tale begins at Lima, Peru.
