Set in the 1890's of western Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, the story follows the escape of two teens who are in love but whose families despise each other. One of the families hires a friend who is a bounty hunter to find them and bring them home. He has little trouble finding them, but their journey back is filled with trials, adventure, love, excitement, and tragedy as the bounty hunter and the young teens find friendship along the way.
You'll laugh and cry and grow to cheer for Theresa and Gabe as they grow into adults during the trek back to face their families. It is there that the reader is in for several surprises. Sometimes life has a way of working through problems.
