Florence, 1429: Giovanni de Medici has transformed his family bank into an unprecedented economic force. But when Giovanni is mysteriously murdered, his sons, Cosimo and Lorenzo, are forced to face a range of enemies plotting to oust the Medici from power.

Published to coincide with a major new TV series starring Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man, The Graduate) and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones). Filming has taken two years, involving 5000 extras, 400 horses, 119 actors and 7000 costumes. The second series has already been commissioned.
