June made excuses for her abusive relationship. No one really understood Johnathan but her. She thought if she could only love him hard enough and become perfect the abuse would disappear and she could fix him.
She hid the true nature of her relationship from everyone who knew her. She pretended that everything was lovely and secure at home, especially to those members of her family like her sister and parents.
June had had multiple visits to the hospital but she always found ways to explain away the multiple bruises, black eyes, cracked ribs and bloody noses. She did not think that her life was that bad. She would often fault herself for his destructive behavior surmising that if she could just become that perfect wife he would change.
Will June’s faithfulness to her beau end tragically or will she finally wake up and realize that what she thought was true love was an unhealthy obsession that may nearly destroy her life for good.
