The Poison Belt

The Poison Belt is a science fiction novel by Arthur Conan Doyle which also includes elements of a moral tale. It is the second book about Professor Challenger. In this part, the professor and a couple of his friends survive the ecological catastrophe, which had a temporary effect. As the rest of the world falls asleep, they keep awake thanks to breathing oxygen and live through unbelievable experiences being the only conscious people on the Earth.
