The Metamorphosis

The Metamorphosis is short story, sometimes regarded as a novella, by Franz Kafka, first published in 1915. It has been cited as one of the seminal works of fiction of the 20th century and is studied in colleges and universities across the Western world. The story begins with a traveling salesman, Gregor Samsa, waking to find himself transformed (metamorphosed) into a large, monstrous insect-like creature.

This was an amazing book! I love the storytelling and how it has more than it allows itself to express. Overall would read again.

Metamorphosis is all about existentialism and the concept of the absurdity in life. The derivation in some instances of his own life and ideologies make it a powerful piece of work. There can never be another metamorphosis.

Something that cannot happen, happened to Gregor. Fine it was indeed strange but It didn't warrant such pain loneliness and sadness the family caused.

the same time, though, he did not forget to remind himself that calm consideration was much better than rushing to desperate conclusions.
