Patricia Loofbourrow

Patricia Loofbourrow is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling science fiction author, professional blogger, and entrepreneur. She writes dark, gritty, realistic, multi-layered fiction. Her first published novel, The Jacq of Spades (2015), has sold over 23,000 copies worldwide.

A native of southern California, Patricia Loofbourrow attended Rush Medical College and San Bernardino County Medical Center. She was a family physician for ten years.

In 2000, married with three small children, Loofbourrow gave up medicine and stayed home to create websites.

In 2005, Patricia ran across the National Novel Writing Month, an online personal challenge to write 50,000 words (a small novel) in 30 days. Since then, she has started writing.

Now, she is best known for the Red Dog Conspiracy series, which already has ten books. The first novel in the series, The Jacq of Spades, came out in 2015.

"Most of all, I love stories about complicated people pushed way past the edge of their comfort zones. Because I believe that's where the magic happens," the writer says.

Loofbourrow is the owner of the small independent publishing imprint Red Dog Press.

Patricia Loofbourrow lives in Moore, Oklahoma.
