Chrissie Hynde is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead singer of the rock group The Pretenders. She and The Pretenders were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2005.Hynde has a daughter with Ray Davies of The Kinks, and a second daughter with ex-husband Jim Kerr of Simple Minds. Hynde is a vegetarian and animal rights activist. She lives in London and maintains a residence in her home state of Ohio.
