Erin Summerill

Erin Summerill is an American YA author, photographer, and educator. She is best known for the fantasy trilogy Clash of Kingdoms.

Erin Calabio Summerill was born in England to parents who both served in the US Air Force. Shortly after, her family’s Hawaiian heritage drew them back to the islands. Erin and her four siblings were raised in central Oahu.

Erin Summerill holds a BA in English Education from Brigham Young University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and an MS in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.

After graduating, Erin taught high school English in Hawaii while starting a career as a professional photographer and a novelist.

She is the author of the YA award-winning, Clash of Kingdoms trilogy: Ever the Hunted (2016), Ever the Brave (2017), and Once A King (2018).

Her young adult fantasy, Ever the Hunted, was short-listed for the Beehive Book Award and is a Tome Con award winner.

Erin Summerill also has been a wedding photographer for nine years. She is the author of Clickologie (2014), a conversational guide to mastering photography.

Erin Summerill, and her family, moved from Hawaii and settled in the Rocky Mountains.
